The second “There is shopping in Alanya” project, the first of which was organized last year and is jointly run by the Alanya chamber of commerce and industry and Antalya Tanıtım A.Ş.. Mehmet Şahin the president of the Alanya chamber of commerce and industry spoke at the projects publicity meeting said “Last year there were 95 million participation rights earned for the project last year. We have found a partial solution to the economic recession. We want to put a smile on our traders faces with the “there is shopping in Alanya” project.
The publicity meeting of the “There is shopping in Alanya” project was held in the Alanya chamber of commerce and industry board of directors meeting room on Thursday 6th July 2017. The details of the project were discussed at the meeting attended by Alanya chamber of commerce and industry president Mehmet Şahin, deputy Mayor of Alanya Ali Yenialp, and the members’ board of directors of the Alanya Hoteliers association Ali Kamburoğlu and Yüksel Kaya.
ŞAHİN: “ONE CAR WENT TO ALANYA”
President Şahin pointed out that the project was run for the first time last year and said “people who spend 25 TL in any place of business with a credit card of one of the banks we have made an agreement with earns the right to one entry in the raffle. There were 95 million entries last year. One of the 7 cars was won by someone living in Alanya. This year there are good prizes. The prizes to be won from the raffle at the end of the project include 7 cars, 7 tablets, 7 televisions, 77 bicycles, and 77 basketballs.
ŞAHİN; “WE ARE NOT STOPPING BECAUSE THERE IS A CRISIS”
President Şahin said “We have produced a great number of short term projects to support our members” and added “We experienced a crisis with Russia which none of us wants to remember. The sectors most affected by this crisis were the tourism, agriculture and construction sectors. Currently our relations with Russia have improved but there are still some problems. These problems which were at an international level did not stop us from working and trying to find our own solutions. We have come together with the Russian citizen living in Alanya and given the world a message of peace. After this we hosted the most influential countries of MENA area in Alanya. We also came together with the partners of companies with foreign investors and lastly we held the Russian media forum for the representatives of Russian magazine and new paper publications in our chamber. The minister of foreign affairs, the pride of Alanya, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu supported nearly all of our projects by attending them. I would again like to thank him.
The Alanya chamber of commerce and industry president stated that they had not only plans for both the long and medium term but that by taking part in immediate action plans such as “There is shopping in Alanya” project they had not been indifferent to the lifeless tourism season, and said “We have started the second “There is shopping in Alanya” project in partnership with Antalya Tanıtım A.Ş. The directors of both the Alanya municipality and the Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport supported us by assigning the advertising boards to the project. I would to thank deputy mayor Ali Yenialp, who is in attendance of our meeting and also our mayor Adem Murat Yücel.
President Şahin stated in his speech “This was a project to revive our traders. We will hopefully continue with these sorts of projects. We are going to have many more projects like this. We appointed Ali Kamburoğlu a member of our board of directors. Mr Ali is also serves at Antalya Tanıtım A.Ş. who were are partners with on behalf of your chamber. Mr Ali is continuing with his duties there very well. He has contributed a lot to our project “There is shopping in Alanya”. I would like to thank him for his hard work. We hope our project and then traders of Alanya well.”

Ali Kamburoğlu the Alanya chamber of commerce and industry member who is responsible for the “There is shopping in Alanya” project and who is also a member of the board of directors of Antalya Tanıtım A.Ş. stated that they had been working on the project for a long time, and that the project would liven up the economy of Alanya. Kamburoğlu also thanked the institutes for the support they showed the project.
