Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) President Eray Erdem met with the Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented a sector report on pending issues, especially the residence problem of foreigners.
President Erdem went to Ankara last week as well; Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs presented a sector report to Antalya Deputy Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
ALTSO President Eray Erdem stated that the Pazarkule Customs Gate between Turkey and Greece, which was modernized with the “Build-Operate-Transfer” method with the support of TOBB Customs and Tourism Enterprises and Chamber-Exchanges, of which the institution is also a partner, and TOBB and UMAT GTİ’s İpsala İbrahim Girgin attended the opening ceremony of the TIR Park. He conveyed the report, which includes sector problems and solution suggestions, to TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu. To the ceremony; Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Greek Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Efstathios Konstantıdıs, TOBB Customs and Tourism Operations Inc. President Arif Fingerless, UMAT AŞ Chairman of the Board Sefer Kaya Üzen and the heads of chambers and exchanges attended.
PRESIDENT ERDEM MEETS WITH HİSARCIKLIOĞLU
ALTSO President Eray Erdem, who participated in the opening programs, also met with TOBB M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, expressed the problems that await solutions in Alanya and presented a report.
President Erdem stated that the difference between them is that accommodation enterprises benefit from the 5-point corporate tax reduction, which is expected to pass through the Parliament, like exporters, and that VAT is 1 percent on food inputs and 8 percent on food sales, especially in the solution of the problems related to the restriction of residence permits to foreigners. He asked Hisarcıklıoğlu for support regarding the problems and other issues waiting to be resolved in Alanya.
Erdem, conveyed the situation to Trade Minister Prof Dr Ömer Bolat and requested support.

Erdem, presented the sector report they prepared together with ALTSO, MÜTBİR, ALSİAD and Real Estate Professionals Association to Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Erdem requested support of the former Foreign Minister, AK Party Antalya Deputy Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu last week.
