Ari Maki, Ankara Ambassador of Finland, visited Mehmet Şahin, President of Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO). Consul Raimo Pahkasalo, Honorary Consul Kuddusi Müftüoğlu, Alanya Municipal Council Member Paulina Müftüoğlu and ALTSO Board Members Hilmi Bilal Sözen and Raşit Sadullahoğlu were also present during the visit.During the visit where cooperation opportunities were discussed, ALTSO President Mehmet Şahin conveyed information to Ambassador Maki in many areas, especially in the locomotive sectors of Alanya, tourism, agriculture, construction and real estate.Mayor Şahin also expressed his satisfaction with the presence of foreign citizens residing in Alanya during the visit. Şahin emphasized that they make positive discrimination against the citizens of foreign countries both in their social life and business life and stated that they accept them as “New Alanyaians” and mentioned the advantages of multiculturalism. Stating that they have organized many fairs with KOSGEB support since Şahin took office, ALTSO President stated that they can make a trip to Finland with businessmen in a possible time. Ambassador Maki thanked ALTSO President Mehmet Şahin for his information. Stating that he appreciates successful work of ALTSO, the guest ambassador said that they can cooperate with Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry in many fields. Speaking about the historical and natural beauties of Alanya, Mayor Şahin also gave important information about sectors such as tourism, agriculture and construction. Informing the Ambassador about the activities of ALTSO Board of Directors, President Şahin said, “Finland’s Ankara Ambassador Ari Maki, Consul Raimo Pahkasalo, and again Finland’s Honorary Consul of Alanya Kuddusi Müftüoğlu and his esteemed wife Paulina paid a courtesy visit to our room. We exchanged views on the possible cooperation opportunities between Finland and Alanya and on the main driving forces of Alanya, especially tourism, agriculture, construction and real estate sectors.
