Türkiye has been included in the Single Market Programme – SMEs and Competitiveness component (SMP-COSME) of the EU programmes as an accession country with the accession phase signed on 31 March 2023.
The SMP-COSME component provides opportunities for enterprises to increase their competitiveness, facilitate access to markets, encourage entrepreneurship and the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills, and modernise industry. Grants to be awarded under the Programme are announced through calls for proposals.
In this regard, the request for proposals for the ‘European AgriFood Sustainability Cluster Partnerships (SMP-COSME-2023 AGRICLUSTER)’ will support actions aimed at establishing and developing new partnerships to implement the EU Code of Conduct on Responsible Food Trade and Marketing Practices by SMEs. These partnerships encourage the adoption of resource efficiency technologies to limit food inflation.
